Product 11 · Assembly Jigs · the Modular Diffuser set
Four printed jigs that hook onto the edges of the box walls and mark every screw hole. Each jig says on its face which holes it marks and which box faces it goes on.
The box seen from the front, walls pulled apart. Right after cutting, write the numbers on the parts with a pencil. Front = the edge where the waves go.
| Jig | Faces | Holes | Drill |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1L + 1R corners | 1 · 3 | A box screws, 2 per end | 4 mm through, countersink |
| 1L + 1R corners | 2 · 4 | B comb screws at the ends | 2.5 mm, max 9 mm deep |
| 3 middle comb | 2 · 4 | D comb screws in the middle | 2.5 mm, max 9 mm deep |
| 2 side wall end | 5 · 6 · 7 · 8 | C where the A screws go in | 2.5 mm, about 30 mm deep |
On every jig, each group of holes has a frame around it with its letter, and the text next to it says the faces and the drill. 1L and 1R are mirror images: on any face, 1L fits two opposite corners (turn it 180°), 1R fits the other two. Jig 3 is exactly as long as the gap between 1L and 1R: pushed against 1L, it puts the middle comb holes in the right place without measuring.
A drawn manual in 14 steps, the same for every box: numbering the faces, where each jig goes, what to mark and how deep to drill. 8 pages A4, to print for the workshop.
Download the manual (PDF)The download holds the print files for your printer and material (G-code, one colour), ready to print, with your name in them, and the README. Jigs 1L and 1R need about 240 × 200 mm of bed each, jig 3 about 290 × 45 mm: all four fit on one plate of a Bambu H2D or H2S. On a smaller printer, the jigs that do not fit are told in the README: order them printed from us. Your printer is not in the list? Write to us and we add it.
